Ski Area:

Livigno is one of the most important and well-equipped ski resorts in the Alps. It is easily reached from northern Europe and loved for its genuine Italian hospitality in a thoroughly European. When skiing in Livigno, you will find yourself in nature, feel the presence of the famous mountains groups and enjoy breathtaking views of the magnificent long white Livigno valley. Due to the crisp and dry weather, Livigno can ensure skiing possiblities from December to May.

The ski area is divided between the “Caroussel 3000” on the eastern and the “Mottolino” on the western side of the village. 32 modern lifts, with a capacity of 49.100 passengers per hour, guarantee short waiting times. Over 110 km of slopes with 12 black runs, 37 red and 29 blue, await skiers with every level of experience. Professionals with enjoy the speed runs, such as the Giorgio Rocca slope, while Families and beginners have access to many functional areas equipped for learning the basic skiing and snowboarding techniques.

Nearly all hotels and apartments lie in very short walking distance from the ski lifts, making the skiing experience in Livigno as convenient as possible. 3 different bus lines bring the skiers from one part of the town to another, ensuring minimum time loss and maximum fun. The buses are free for ski pass owners.

Every thursay people looking for a special thrill can go night skiing. Enjoy the enlightened slope next to lift number 23. Every Tuesday, on the same slope, you can admire a special show by the ski teachers of the region.

The Town:

The town of Livigno is located 1816 meters high and spreads out along an open and sunny valley, near to the Stilfser Joch, at the border between Switzerland and Italy. Over 100 hotels and apartment houses, many of them very characteristic due to their rustic style, offer suffient accomodation while preserving it`s alpine village character.


With over 90 days of sun in winter and a snow safety throughout the season, Livigno has developed into one of the best known and most popular winter resorts in the Alps. The 2 km pedestrian zone leading through the city center provides great value for money restaurantes, pubs and pizzarias. The wooden houses, located throughout the village, are carefully positioned in the mountain framework and spread the spirit of this rural enviroment.

Entertainment:

Due to it´s duty free status, Livigno is a popular shopping zone. In the 250 shops, reaching from exclusive and major brands to local vendors, you will find everything from regional products to high class fashion. All positioned in between the ski slopes.


For all who want to carry on after midnight, two large discos, one located in the center, the other in 5 minutes driving distance, serve refreshing cocktails in combination with good music. Additonally, Livignos center has small rural bars to enjoy a glass of wine in a more intimate athmosphere.

Children:

Livigno is a family friendly town and has fun and exiting activities for children. A new kids area has been opened including a sledge slope and a 80 meters long tube. It is located at the entrance of Val Federia, in a quiet area of Livigno.


Opening times: 8.30-12.30 and 13.30-17.00.

The Kinder Club Lupigno is a great place for playing and fun with Lupigno, the friendly mascot. Experienced assistants look after your children while the parents can enjoy a sunny day skiing.

Minimum age is three years, opening times are 08.30 to 15.30.

Snowboard:

In Livigno you can find three snowparcs, the American, the Mottolino and the Caroussel 3000. The Mottolino is europes biggest and most impressive snowpark. It is located on the „Mottolino“ pistes and was one of the first snowparcs in Italy. The parc is regularly visited by europes best snowboarders and free skiers. The parc is divided in various areas and can therefore be used by riders with different skill levels.


Snowboraders will also find a well equiped snowpark on the „Caroussel 3000“ slopes. Its located on the slope „Polvere“ and next to funbox jumps, also offers 20 rails and 2 bordercross.

“The American” is located on the slope of the ski lift No. 10 and is the newest snowpark. With 12 rails and 2 jumps it is the ideal place for those who engage in acrobatic skiing and snowboarding.
